One of the other important roles that RITA plays is that of a consultant. It is tasked with the responsibility of offering advice to government institutions in the development, maintenance and purchase of applications, systems, and other tools that are deemed helpful in the advancement of the GoR's ICT objectives. A rigorous procedure is employed by RITA staff to ensure that a client's needs are appropriately addressed. The services involved range from guidance for the procurement of up-to-date hardware, software and other ICT related tools; applications development; and web development.
