Welcome to Kigali ICT Park !

 

The government of Rwanda long recognized ICT as an enabler of economic development. This is reflected in the government’s Vision 2020 that aims at transforming Rwanda into an information-rich, knowledge-based society and economy by the year 2020. Kigali ICT Park is attached to Rwanda Information Technology Agency (RITA) and is about creating a center of innovation, production and showcase of Information and Communication Technologies.

 

The ICT Park has taken over Telecom House Complex (pictured below), situated in the Kacyiru area of the fast growing city of Kigali . It has three components, namely:

 

• Technology showcase and Production for established ICT companies (both local and international) whereby companies are offered office space and other services at a minimal cost;
• The Incubatorwhere great ideas are nurtured and grown into ICT businesses.A range of support services has been put together, including: technical, administrative, legal and access to venture capital; and
• A Multi-disciplinary Center of Excellence in ICT (MCE-ICT) , where R&D work in cutting-edge technologies is conducted.

We believe the three components are complementary and they have been put in the same premises to exploit the synergy between them.
